That wouldn't be a synthesis it would be an Extraction i guess if you were to make an analog from ityou might get away with calling it a synthesis but the whole point of synthesis are to take easily readily avail compounds and make hard to find useful ones. Why not eat the Shrooms?

Mush LovesIt would be a partial synthesis, he would remove the phosphoryl group and acetoxy at the 4th position, so it would be both extraction and synthesis. It's a more complicated process than simple salting out of DMT or something.
