Hi

Swim is asking how to grow opium poppies outdoors in bucket-pots (not transplanting) with a couple holes on bottom..
..maybe add some vermiculite or perlite on the top part of the sand + potting soil, to help hold water

Will a 50/50 mixture of sand and potting soil be good ?

Swim wants to use 10/10/10 fertilizer but doesn't know the correct manner to apply fertilizer the safe &correct way.

Heard you water daily esp. first 2 months and allow sunshine

Takes several months from start to finish

Is this correct ?

* If I knew what I was doing, I would write a how-to tutorial, instead of asking questions lol

Thank you

Where do you get the seeds from? :) I wouldn't deal with it so much, I think it's important that the soil is not glued together, so that it doesn't turn into a crust after watering and drying. and I think that even the humidity cannot be high because it will rot.

Swim is still shopping for Turkey/southern Asia poppy seeds (or gigantium or queens or Lauren grape)
.. heard hens and chickens and Hungarian blue are good too ,no ?

...perhaps buy dried poppy pods and use the seeds of the "most impressive"

Swim is gonna begin gardening at the start of spring season
