Hello!
I decomposed some NH4NO3 and collect gas after bubble water, the taste it sweet like N2O so I think its correct way to make N2O (I really new to chem) !

NH4NO3 => N2O + 2H2O

Now I plan to scale my reactor to get more gas, and compress it to cylinder at the end

I have some questions hope someone can help me:
- I read many posts, some say reactor will explosive if heat > 200C or 210C and another post say < 240C will good! I so confused??? I will make a reactor with electric heat source with temp control, what do you think about it?

- The things left in reactor after finish, its safe if i dump it down the drain? or what should i do with it?

- Collect gas then bubble water is enough for purity? I read some where they do base/acid for purity is this required?

Any suggests will help me much
Many thanks!

Agree that it isn't safe. You have to carry out reaction below 200 and without oxygen (use vacuum) or you will be smeared on walls🤯
