Question Iodine from Iodine tincture extraction

So, I’ve seen some people here talking about this subject but I’ve just a little confused on some parts.

I know that mixing maybe 3 to 6% hydrogen peroxide with an iodine tincture that has potassium iodine can create iodine crystals, since the hydrogen peroxide basically increases the volume of iodine in the tincture which if enough hydrogen peroxide is added, can over saturate the ethanol ( which is for also dissolving the iodine ), causing the extra iodine to crystallize.

But if someone does this in their kitchen and not in a lab, the extra iodine could end up turning into iodine vapor instead of crystals which can seriously injure someone. So I’d be glad if an expert could help me understand the actual reaction, since I’m confused, I searched online and even asked ChatGPT but both just say are sending mixed signals, sometimes they agree and sometimes not.

Well, tbh, I havent cooked methamphetamine before, so for my first try, I’m looking to making like maybe 300 to 700mg of methamphetamine. So I wouldn’t really need grams of iodine and red phosphorus right? My yield of pseudoephedrine is 660mg right now. So what would be like the necessary amount of iodine and red phosphorus to convert all my pseudoephedrine into first meth HI? And since I’m making a small yield of meth on my first run, should I use sodium hydroxide or maybe baking soda to raise the PH of meth HI to methamphetamine oil?

Since baking soda can also increase the PH of a substance, and since it’s a small amount of meth that I’ll be producing, would baking soda work in this scenario?

You need to pH to 10.2 to get the oil to form. NaOH will do the trick, no need for paper, it will form the oil once it hits the correct pH

I actually never knew that, so NaOH will work. But since NaOH is unavailable at my local hardware store and tbh the majority of the state that I live in. But would sodium bicarbonate also do the trick or would it be better to order NaOH online?

Wait, so you mean instead of using red phosphorus to produce HI acid, I can also use sodium hydroxide? Now I'm a bit confused
