Facilities where synthetic drugs were produced were discovered by the army at a site near a village in the community of Quiliva; 100 kilograms of methamphetamine and various chemicals were found at the site.
The Mexican Army dismantled a synthetic drug laboratory located in an uninhabited area of the Arroyo de la Parra Canyon. Soldiers found 100 kilograms of methamphetamine, precursors for making the drug, as well as stoves, vats and other lab equipment in the makeshift lab.
Authorities also discovered a clandestine warehouse where the drugs were stored in the area. The seizure was carried out by the 67th Infantry Battalion stationed in the municipality, supported by other units based in Tijuana City.
The clandestine laboratory was located in the canyon of Arroyo de la Parra, located near the community of Quiliva, on one side of the Sierra Juárez. The seized substance, as well as the devices and the location of the laboratory, were handed over to the investigating authorities for inclusion in the relevant case.
