I recently synthesized both amphetamine and 4-fluoroamphetamine. I was excited for the regular amphetamine to help me focus on my work, and for the 4-FA, I was looking forward to the "euphoria" effects I kept hearing about (like the Erowid pages from Rhodium and SpicyBrown).

I looked at the 4-FA page on the Psychonaut website where it stated that the "common" dose is 100 - 130 mg. So I went ahead and tried 115 mg. I definitely felt the amphetamine like effects, but absolutely no euphoria. I figured that since this is a racemic mixture, maybe I needed more, so I went up to 200 mg, and felt more of the "amped up" feeling, but again, no euphoria at all.

I also don't have a super high tolerance for amphetamines. I've never done meth, I use to have a script for Vyvanse, and I did some Adderall given to me by a friend a long time ago. But overall it's been like 4 years since any type of amphetamine was in my body, so I don't think tolerance is an issue.

Should I maybe try the optical resolution outlined in the Dextroamphetamine synthesis thread to get the dextro 4-FA isomer?

Thanks.

Hello. Indeed, in the sources you mentioned there is information that 4FA provides the effect of "euphoria", but I will explain why this is considered a mistake.
The fact is that the pharmacodynamic properties of 4FA are different from classic amphetamine. 4FA causes the release of not only NE and DA, but also 5-HT, then inhibits their reuptake. Initially NE is released, followed by DA and 5-HT. Compared to amphetamine, our substance has a stronger serotonergic transport action. Exactly, the effect on 5-HT makes this substance close to MDMA, but not enough for the appearance of euphoria. According to all available clinical trials in humans, 4FA is close in its effects to D-amphetamine and "light MDMA", and causes EMPATHY, but not euphoria (at least you will not get the euphoria that you will get when using MDMA).

Besides, there is another factor that affects the level of "euphorogenicity" of 4FA - it is the biological profile of liver microsomal enzymes. If you are a strong metabolizer, there will be little chance of forming a hydroxylated 4-fluorophenyl residue, which will also affect the induction of "euphorogenic" effects. There is one more factor that is quite insignificant for you, related to the "baseline" of dopamine transport, but it, in this case, does not play an important role. Even if you synthesize the D-enantiomer of 4FA and use it, you will not get the euphoria that you might experience when using MDMA. However, the level of euphoria from the D-enantiomer will be 10-30% higher than +-4FA.

In case you want to increase the dose to 200 or more, there is a strong possibility of developing unwanted cardiovascular effects, but not euphoria.

What salt form did you go for with the 4FA? Or I guess what is the most common? I read @Brain response it says it’s not hydroscopic. It that all salt forms?

In my experiments, 4-FA sulfate caused a very strong euphoria in a dosage of 250-300mg orally. Intranasally almost did not work.
