strange amphetamine paste texture

Hello to all. When making my own amphetamine paste from oil A, I get a strange result, a sort of wax or greasy paste. I proceed as follows: - I mix 1l of oil A with 1l of methanol, I then acidify this mixture with a 1/10 acid/methanol solution until I obtain a PH of 6, all under cooling. I use an oil which is in principle of high quality, very translucent and which has a very slight odor. I can't understand where my mistake comes from if someone can advise me it's really great.
