I got Lorinase-D pills which contains Loratadine and Pseudoephedrine, i will crush it to powder then wash it with ethanol then filter it then wash with water then filter it to have a good % of pseudoephedrine.
Then I will add Potassium Permanganate to the pseudoephedrine to do the following:
C10H15NO + KMnO4 = C10H13NO + H2O + MnO2 + KOH
but i dont know how to seperate methcathinone from the rest of products, any help will be appreiciated!
BTW if there was any remanants of Loratadine it will react with KMnO4 as following:
C22H23ClN2O2 + KMnO4 = CO2 + H2O + HCl + K2CO3 + MnO2 + NO2
