In PIKHAL the MDA #100 synthesis
in one hand Start from Piperonal they use cycloexalamine and nitroethane but the paragraph finish with this: "The nitrostyrene has been successfully made from the components in cold MeOH, with aqueous NaOH as the base"

what did he mean? is other form more simplistic?
