Recryssing ketamine

I have a question about recrystallizing sugar or needle ketamine hcl.
How do you get these big rocks of keta?
Just make saturated solution of ipa/water and evaporate same as normal?

Yes, try it. But large crystals will grow easier when you carry out a separating isomers procedure.

Ummm, nope. There is no such thing as separating isomers with ketamine. It is separation of enantiomers. (i.e R/S D/L E/Z)

The s-enantiomer of ketamine has a difficult time forming large boulders, whereas the racemic variety can form them easily with proper lab technique.

What is that technique? Hard work and something to do with a thermos. Thank me later.

I tried with the freezer/thermos technique. But im still failing to produce rocks...

Im not going past the shardlike shapes like this

I tried untill satured in boiling water/methanol and then how they said it in the thermos way but no rocks

Did you evap the water methanol

No it doesnt need evaporation before freezing, does it?

Try dissolving it in methanol or ethanol and evaporate the alcohol, that should work.

Have you ever recrystallized ketamine powder into stick crystals?

No evaporation doesnt yield the solid rocks. It yields a crystalcake of small needle-like crystals indeed.

Tried freeze method and yielded bigger shard-like crystals like i posted before, but still.no rocks...

Use à vaccum dessicator you'll get bug crystal also the batch should be big enough

Vaccum dessicator is how i do it with good result and crystal clear crystal

What do you mean, do you recrystallise in a solvent , in a vacuum dessicator

You dissolve with demineralised water and let it dry at room temps in the dessicator for 4 to 5 days dépend on the size of the batch
