A powerful blow to an organized criminal group, the liquidation of 2 synthetic drug laboratories and the seizure of over 359 kg of drugs, i.e. 357 kg of klefedrone and over 2 kg of mephedrone, with a total value of nearly PLN 12 million, is the result of the actions of CBŚP policemen. The investigation is being supervised by the Łódź-Górna District Prosecutor's Office in Łódź, where four detainees have been charged with the production of significant amounts of psychotropic substances. Police officers from the Board of the Central Police Investigation Bureau in Łódź determined that in the Łódź Province, members of an organized criminal group produce synthetic drugs on a large scale. On the basis of the collected information, the officers prepared activities that were carried out almost simultaneously in Łódź and in the Piotrków district. On the farm, in a small town, the policemen detained a man. In one of the utility rooms there was a synthetic drug laboratory. During the operation, the policemen secured the substance stored in special trays placed in refrigerators. A preliminary opinion, prepared by experts from the Forensic Laboratory of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź, showed that it is over 357 kg of 4CMC, i.e. klefedrone, the estimated value of which is PLN 11 million. At that time, equipment, precursors and substances for the production of drugs, scales and full face masks were seized. As it turned out, the property also had four professionally prepared rooms for growing and drying cannabis. The second synthetic drug laboratory was located in a private apartment in Łódź. There, the CBŚP policemen detained another 3 people, while the final mephedrone extraction was taking place in one of the rooms. During the activities, three trays with a partially crystallized substance, i.e. more than 2 kg of mephedrone (worth about PLN 75,000) and equipment for the production of the drug, were secured. In the Łódź-Górna District Prosecutor's Office in Łódź, four detainees were accused of producing large amounts of psychotropic substances as part of an organized criminal group. The District Court in Łódź, at the request of the prosecutor's office, applied a preventive measure in the form of temporary detention for a period of three months against four detainees. Suspects may be punished with a penalty of up to 15 years imprisonment. In total, there are already 14 suspects in the investigation. The case is developmental.
