Hello,

1st post, great forum with a lot of knowledge, much appreciated, I'm beginner and interested mostly in stimulants, I have learned a lot from this forum and other forums and have a grasp of the chemistry.

My question is, I'm aware that pseudoephedrine freebase or HCL is doable in RP\I2 rxn, however, I'm not sure if using the suplhate\sulfate in either in RP\I2 rxn or Birch and birch-like rxns (i.e. SNB), is it? if not what is the preferred salt to be used in birch and birch-like reaction?

I currently have easy access to Pseudephedrine Sulphate at the moment and would like to take advantage of this supply. and how about converting the sulfate to FB or HCL?

Apologize if my question is basic, but for some reason this bit of info evaded me

Thanks!

Hello. I think there is no difference which salt form will you want to use. You don't need to make HCl salt from sulphate.
