Question Which should be my first synthesis?

Hello guys, I’m completely new to chemistry. I do know how to follow guide and so far I know the fundamentals of heat boiling point and weight management and reaction time and reacting but I do not understand periodic table or molecule structure. I want to make amphetamine or 4 MMC,
I have lab ware ready seating closet
I have acid and base
And catalyst

Should i proceed?
So far i got pre-cruisers for amphetamine.

You should find what interests you, for what you can get precursors and reagents and what seems doable with your lab equipment and knowledge. 4-MMC from 2B4M (aka BK4) is generally easy if you can get BK4 and methylamine.

The reaction in ethyl acetate is said to be done in 20 minutes but I never succeeded with EA so I can't confirm it. In other solvents (e.g. DCM) it takes longer but adding DMF/DMSO/NMP as a phase transfer catalyst cuts down the reaction time considerably, well below 30 minutes according to what I've read.
