Ethyl lactate is easy for me to buy. Ethyl 2 chloropropionate is not.
I'm looking for a way to chlorinate Ethyl lactate so as to be able to produce Ethyl 2 chloropropionate
Does HCl work? Or TCCA? If it requires something like thiony chloride, I'll have to find a different route.
