Hi all! Is PPA(phenylpropanolamine) freebase soluble in water? I got some dog medicine syrup (Propalin) which supposedly contains PPA, added some distilled water to it(washing the bottle) tried to basify the solution to 12, but there was no appearance of unsoluble freebase like with PSE. The solution stayed crystal clear. Not sure if I got fake dog medicine or is PPA freebase well soluble in water.
Anyway acidified it to 7 and attempting to evaporate most of water first now.
