We should have a dedicated thread or section or something for emergencies such as I accidentally mixed _ with _ and _ happened. Can anyone give me advice on how to neutralize _ ... etc...

To that end, let me share an experience with you that I'm currently in the midst of and hopefully have taken the proper steps to resolve.

I had a piece of zinc metal dissolving in HCl. Everything was going according to plan... Then I found some more pieces of what I THOUGHT was zinc, but was actually most likely aluminium.

After mixed (on a hot plate) a blue foam appeared and chlorine smell.

I neutralized with water and baking soda... hopefully...

Any input is welcome.

it will be late before you will receive any useable information it will just make the forum less useful and if the forum chemists are online you can contact them personally they are reliable and their to serve you.

While working with sodium hydroxide after doing a NaBH4 redox. While working I noticed the glove has filled up with water. I think the water inside the glove may have been contaminated with some nabh4 or naoh. My hands looked a little like they would after spending too long at a swimming pool. I made sure to rince them and after finishing work took a long shower.
Few day later the skin on my hands began to peel and now top of my index feels as if I had burned it on a hot surface. Over all my finger tips feel slightly numbed and have a very smooth texture. Is that something I should be concerned about or will it go away on it's own?

This may get very painful for quite some time, base burns are mean, but there is nothing what now can be done about it except using painkillers. You should have soaked the hand in diluted acetic or citric acid for half an hour or more to neutralize any still present base, too late now, just for the future.
