2-phenylethylamine from ephedrine

Hi. I have a bunch of ephedrine in hand. I started to learn about the meth syntesis following one guide. The guide basically says that the first step is to convert the ephedrine into 2-phenylethylamine, but I am not seeing anything like this in the forum.
Is my starting point wrong?

DO NOT DO THAT. That's a step in the wrong direction. You can buy 2-phenylethylamine at GNC or any other health store by the pound. What is this paper you speak of? There's no better starting material than ephedrine (maybe pseudoephedrine) because it is already chiral and the correct enantiomer. It has nothing extra and lacks nothing

Can someone share a video or guide with ephedrine? I see a bunch of videos with other precursos but not eph

They are the same reactions. Some of them. There is one video that specifically says ephedrine it is hydriodic acid (iodine) and phosphorus, but the Leukart, birch and Al/HG ( aluminum mercury amalgam). All work on ephedrine. There should be a path with methylamine and a catalyst too. Also others
