Aluminum amalgam with mercury nitrate monohydrate

I have tried amalgamatiom with :

12 grams aluminum foil
0,3 grams mercury nitrate monohydrate
1 liter cold water in 2 liter round flask

Nothing is happening since 2 hour of vigorously shaking

Please help

Perhaps you have bad foil, try to replace it. Mercury amalgam is always triggered in the presence of mercury salts and aluminum.

I found out the issue .
A scammer sold le another compound that I trust it was Mercury nitrate Monohydrate, buy it was just crystalline white powder that has nothing to do with Mercury nitrate.
I am now stuck with :

My P2NP , My glacial acetic acid , IPA , Phosphoric acid , Acetone, caustic soda ( Sodium Hydroxide) and my Aluminum Foil is ok and premium one .
As I am in West Africa I don't know where to provide any Real Mercuric (II) Nitrate
And in my country mercury Hg and nitric acid .
I hope someone on bbgate could make me a give away of just 9 grams of that mercury nitrate I can start my business.

If you have access to mercury thermometers, then finding nitric acid shouldn't be a problem. The synthesis of mercury nitrate production is easy.

I am in a country where government have prohibited mercury , Lol . Because people use it in order to manufacture fake notes .
I have been in all pharmacy, none of them thermometer contains mercury .
And even if I find Mercury there is no way to find nitric acid . As yesterday I have been in my car around all chemical reseller .
So I try to find a deal with someone here to find a tiny quantity of Mercury nitrate directly.

I have successfully find elemental mercury contained in thermometer, and I buy to a local store nitric acid . Some one previously sold me fake Mercuric Nitrate .

Now after many attempt, I have been able to get 3,5 grams of amphetamine phosphate dried .
Yield is 35% for my first successful synthesis .

I will try to optimize parameter and input in order to yield 70% next attempt .
