Vitamins of group B.
Pantothenic acid (B5)
is converted to acetyl-coenzyme A, a substance crucial for the conversion of glucose into energy. Vitamin B5, with magnesium, vitamin C and E accelerate the process of energy formation.
The recommended daily dose is 500 mg.

Niacin (PP)

Vitamin B6

The liver is one of the main detoxification organs in the body.
It is in hepatocytes that the conversion of xenobiotics (compounds that have no nutritional value and are potentially toxic) into soluble compounds occurs, which are then removed from the body with bile or urine. The process of detoxification in the liver includes two consecutive stages: phase 1 - oxidation, reduction, hydroxylation and hydrolysis of xenobiotics to intermediate metabolites; Phase 2 – conjugation, methylation, sulfation and glucuronization of intermediates to final soluble products. Depending on the chemical composition and properties, different xenobiotics (carcinogens, drugs, narcotic substances) undergo different biochemical reactions. Phase 1 detoxification reactions are carried out by enzymes called cytochromes P450 (CYP450, cytochrome 450-dependent monooxidases, cytochrome P450 system), of which there are about 150. In addition to detoxifying xenobiotics, cytochromes P450 are necessary for the synthesis of steroids, bile acids and fatty acids.

The activity of CYP450 enzymes varies significantly depending on the genetic characteristics of a person, the level of exposure to toxins and his nutritional status. Each reaction catalyzed by CYP540 enzymes is accompanied by the formation of free radicals as intermediates. It should be emphasized once again that during the detoxification of xenobiotics in the liver, potentially toxic components are normally formed that can pose even greater harm to the body than their predecessors. To neutralize free radicals in the liver, as in many other organs, there is a complex antioxidant system. For the normal operation of the cytochrome P450 system, vitamins and trace elements are needed, primarily B vitamins, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), tocopherol (vitamin E), zinc, magnesium, as well as copper and selenium. These substances act as cofactors of cytochromes P450 and are antioxidants that prevent the formation and neutralizing free radicals.

During the reactions of the 2nd phase of detoxification, methyl, sulfhydryl, acyl groups, residues of glucuronic acid and amino acids or glutathione are attached to intermediate metabolites, as a result of which they acquire hydrophilic properties and can be finally removed from the body. Vitamins and trace elements are also necessary participants in these reactions. Thus, one of the main components of the methylation reaction is S-adenosylmethionine (SAM), for the synthesis of which vitamin B12 is required. The sulfation reaction requires sulfur-containing compounds, acetylation - thiamine (vitamin B1), vitamin C and pantothenic acid (vitamin B3), sulfonic oxidation - molybdenum Mo.

Deficiency of vitamins and trace elements involved in the regulation of the detoxification system of the liver can lead to adverse consequences.
To maintain detoxification processes, take the following medications:
S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) 400 mg per day.
Alpha Lipoic Acid 300 mg/day
Acetylcysteine – 600 mg or bioavailable forms of glutathione.
Amino acids, or protein of animal origin with a large amount of fiber.
