Help for designing of mechanism of a simple pill press

Hey , I need somebody to help me to figure out how to design and build the ejection mechanism of a simple CandyLand mini single punch pill press like those you can purchase on several chinese from vendors. Because it's hard to import the whole machine, I decided to build this machine on my own, because the design of the press itself is pretty simple and all parts beside the tablet die itself is legal, cheap and easy to purchase . As a reward for those who helped me, I will share the construction plan as a tutorial of the whole finish project.

Hey , I need somebody to help me to . The press itself alredy works but because the machine doesn't have the base plate with the feeder and the ejection mechanism, it's only possible to produce single pills because every single pill has to be ejected from the die mold by hand. I tried to figure out how to rebuild the base plate but unfortunately I can't figure out the design and how to rebuild the ejection mechanism , because of a lack of mechanical/design knowledge, im stuck here now. So hopefully anybody here can help me out how to design and rebuild the mechanism how it's shown on the pictures. I tried to find an ki software or something similar to design this part but I can't figure out how to make an precise design of the mechanism and then rebuild it with parts from my local hardware store. So maybe can work this out together with me or point me into the direction on how to rebuild it.

Hello, I’m Marty€mcfly and I’m interested in giving a little advice. These type of things are something I have a little experience with. The mechanism of pill pressing has is not as simple as it seems.

Begin with knowing what you pressing because there’s a difference in the expectation of physical features ina pharmaceutical or street manufactured pill. Being that it’s possible your producing them to meet a demand relies on the physical appearance for customers.

Between the two moulds, the rivet and the mechanism where the plates apply pressure into the two intervals has to be further understood because you don’t want to waist your time.

Thx for your help but I dont want a new machine, I only need a way to eject the pills out of my already working press I build on my own. Otherwise it's impossible to produce more the 10 pills in 30 minutes.

I already have a working pill press I only have to figure out how the pill gets ejected after pressing!

So please guide me into the direction how to rebuild this simple mechanism how its shown on my pictures.

I'm sure it's possible to rebuild this with a 3d printer and or some metal working skills.

Unfortunately there are no vendors on alibaba who sell only the base plate with the ejecting mechanism.

It's impossible to get this machine threw customs because it would be held in Post office to pay taxes or I will be busted when I try to pick it up.

So my only chance is to rebuild this.

Has anybody an idea how to get a plan of the ejection mechanism?

Instead of applying pressure from one side you'll need a "doughnut" (torus) shape die where at the end of a cycle the bottom of the die is pulled away and the top rod pushes the pill through the bottom. A coupling rod from the lever to a cam would be the best way of doing it

I already own the doughnut shape and the does but I'm only able to push out one pill with big effort because of the setup I use now.
I got different ideas how to implement the mechanism or at least the same as yours, but to do this I need a exact plan or at least a photograph of the exact mechanism to figure out the exact measurements or at least how and wich parts I have to build and buy to build the ejection mechanism correctly.
I think it's necessary to increase the output to push the pills out of the mold upwards.
I also got a book about how different pill presses are made but it's hard (but not impossible) to build the mechanism.
The best thing would be a hand drawn or even better a 3d design with exact measurements of the mechanism to rebuild every single part.
The goal is to produce a bigger amount of pills in a shorter period of time.

Get a die with a hole that goes all the way through, block the bottom of the die with the rod of a linear solenoid. Put a push button switch at the end of the lever stroke these when activated (lever fully forward) do nothing but when you deactivate it (start pulling the lever back) the solenoid activates moving the rod up through the die and forcing the pill out. No fabricating of complex parts needed.

You know I could actually use some help here? I would like a formula for a polymer solution for my pills. I have a panning machine and sprayer/air compressor but, I need a recipe for a coating pills liquid solution.
