Just a basic question, but if one hydrolysis benzyl cyanide using hydrochloric acid, and wanted to separate the formed ammonium chloride, how might one do so with the least steps and chemical inputs?

Could one simply boil the solution, and anything left would be phenylacetic acid? Or would ammonium chloride remain too?

I'd prefer not to have to do a non poplar extraction just use hydrochloric acid, benzyl cyanide, and water.
