I've found a source for high yielding fungi that produces ergocristine at- 1g/L of liquid media.
they dont seem very restrictive about selling it, but it seems they only supply research companies and such.
I have some ergot samples, but none that are this high yielding.. any help/Ideas on how to source a sample would be greatly appreciated!

Have you thought of starting a research company, just for the purpose of getting that? Maybe get two other cultures too, so it doesn't look suspicious...

Don't fuck with strains unless you have proper biolab with -78C freezer, laminar flow fume hood, etc. and some knowledge in a field.
Otherwise you'll just waste precious materials.
