What about p2p synth from bromine?

I believe Nilered was the one to use bromine in DCM to create p2p using acetone and benzene? (Bromo acetone, bromo benzene?)

Anyone have any experience with this?

Well p-2-p, aka phenylacetone. Aka benzyl methyl keyone aka bmk aka 10 other names IS a benzene and an acetone. So sure, why not? There are more routes to it than there are stars in the sky., but to say "from bromine: is a bit of a misnomer because that is just a halogen and it's not even in the final product
