High!
I was looking up fume hoods the other day and came across fume hoods, and solder/smoke hood, used for, obviously, soldering, and the discretion said it removed smells and smoke from soldering, said it had 3 protections, a filter, a Hepa filter, whichfilters out solids at .3 microns, then another filter for aerosol compounds above .3 microns.
It was $250, vs 1500 for a small fume hood.
Whatcha think?

It all depends on one's set up and situation of course. If you had to work indoors, you'd want to optimize the scenario as best possible. Pros vs Cons. You know I'm all about the McGuyverisms and 'non-permanent' labs. You can run the exhaust fumes down your drain past the trap to scrub the fumes. You can lead it through different traps and filters, kitty litter, etc. on its way outside so it doesn't garner any (or as much) attention. Less you got a good front, it is another piece of equipment that will need to be explained away - the filter could potentially be damning evidence also? Hopefully they are inexpensive and easy to replace because I imagine you might want to change it more often than not. I'm not doing big willy shit right downtown so I just work semi-outside with increments that are easier to handle or use a simple exhaust fan. Otherwise I am sure it would be fine. You would probably want to construct a little work booth with one of those plexiglass sliding shields.

Shit, kitty litter? That sounds great, I was even thinking about activated charcoal in a tube in exhaust. Also thought of an ozone machine, I recall people used those in the 80s and early 90s for the smell of weed gardens inside. And even a negative ion machine...
Thank you for answering
