Why is mephedrone so hard to find

If mephedrone is so easy to synthesize why is it so hard to find on the market and everyone sells 3-cmc and 4-cmc instead?
Been looking for some 4-mmc and it is nearly impossible to find in eastern Europe.

There's so many markets especially on telegram that sell mephedrone, the drug is VERY popular in the eastern itself

I know it is, but people on the street insist it cannot be done and that they can only find 3-cmc sold as 4-mmc
