Meth powder to crystal help plz
Hi everyone
I’m trying to turn a meth powder into crystals, but I keep running into problems. I boil a solution of 30% water and 70% acetone, then add it drop by drop onto the powder until it dissolves to saturation. After that, I heat it a little, leave it in open air for three hours, and then put it in the freezer for twelve hours. But the result is just some chalky lumps. What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix it?"

Get a glass tube and put a plug of cotton in one end and pack it with your crank. Then you take your cold dry acetone and fill up your tube and close both ends and wash all your stuff with the acetone and filter it out. Then empty what is left in the tube - this is your good clean meth. Take some pure dry warm alcohol and do what you did before, add it dropwise in to the clean meth in the dish you plan to crystallize in, until it dissolves. Let it evaporate or you can speed it by warming underneath and blowing over the top. You'll have your clear meth, but it will turn white and flakey when you scrape it up. But this is how you would make shards in a dish ...same idea.

What synthesis did you use to get the meth?
I think it looks kind of like racemic meth hcl.
Are you sure the enantiomers have been separated?

First I obtained p2p oil through benzyl cyanide and sodium, then I did it with aluminum amalgam and methylamine, then I filtered and extracted with petroleum ether, then I distilled it, then I acidified it with methanol, then I let the heat evaporate the methanol, then I tried to crystallize it with different methods, but it didn't work. The way I use it, it smells like meth and has a very pure and intense hit, without any bad side effects, but when I heat it inside the pipe, it doesn't completely turn into a liquid, it looks more like a rock.

You are aware that racemic meth is insanely hard to crystallize, right?
Your options are pretty much the long process outline it ghostchemists post, isolating the d-meth or cutting the product with something that helps form the crystals you're after.

If you want the meth purer I would recommend steam distillation, it's actually a very simple process if you let the steam generate in situ.
I used to get meth that looked like bright white, granulated sugar when I let a fan rather than heat evaporate the solvents after neutralization. It did however take the better part of a week to to evaporate the solvent from 300g of meth that way
