Question Trouble making P2NP

Hello i want to make p2np for amphetamine but its hard to get nitroethane. Can i synthesis it by electrolosys of sodium propionate and potassium nitrate ? For doing henry reaction can i use other bases instead of N_butylamine like naoh ? How much will it deacrease performance?tnx

For the henry reaction you can also use phenethylamine, ethanolamine or amphetamine as a catalyst.
Nitroethane can be synthesized by sodium ethyl sulfate as a starting material.
