Kan dit worden gebruikt om syntheses te vervangen waarvoor NaBH4 nodig is? Ik probeer 5-MeO-DMT te maken van 5-MeO-T volgens de synthese van Hamilton Norris, maar ik heb geen NaBH4 tot mijn beschikking.

Is er een manier om NaBH4 te maken die geen superhoge temperaturen of druk vereist en die op kleine schaal kan worden gedaan in een amateurlab, of geef ik het gewoon op en bestel ik iets uit China en hoop ik dat de douane geen vragen stelt?
Waarom werkt Al/Hg niet voor die synthese? Het zou de imine moeten reduceren om de tryptamine te methyleren, toch?
Ik denk dat het mogelijk is, maar ik ben er niet helemaal zeker van. Denk je dat het de dubbele binding op de indool zal verminderen?
Het enige waar ik niet zo zeker van ben is het product, wordt het MMT of DMT. In jouw synthese van methamfetamine uit amfetamine met Al/Hg wordt er slechts één methylgroep toegevoegd aan het amine.

Try doing a test run of amalgam on a small amount and you will see. It is usual to take a little more chloride than nitrate.

I am trying to do an amalgam of 10g aluminum. I have mercuric nitrate as a liquid, 30ml,it is 1.5% mercury and I assume the rest is water. Is this enough, not enough or too much mercury for that 10g aluminum. Can the aluminum be overreacted ? Can I let the aluminum sit in the mercury solution for 24 hrs ? Like if I throw it all together and forget about it for a day till I want to use it, is it storable in the mercury solution, to stay as usable amalgam ?
Explain how you obtained 30 mL of a 1.5% solution of mercury. This is very similar to dissolving metallic mercury in nitric acid. And it's too much for 10 g of aluminum.
If you were planning to put aluminum foil in a flask, pour in water, and add a solution of mercury nitrate, you can't store that solution. The mercury will react with the foil.

A order from some webjoint called Zoro. It’s mercury at 1.5% , nitric acid and water. How much u think 10g aluminum will need ? 10ml ?
Either way I’ll be hawk eyeing the shit so I’ll get it done. In a week hope for good posts of good rxn or wait and see me complain for a week cuz I messed it up somehow lol
