This is a ridiculous crystallisation method. Methanol & anhydrous acetone produces beautiful transparent crystals, and if a little bit of IPA is also used for dissolution you can expect real stunners. A wash with cold anhydrous acetone is good practice and also helps to precipitate more from the mother liquour.
Time til smoke can be 1-24 hrs, sooner if you add more acetone. I’ve never had a mother liquor that colour though, looks like a rough cook & extraction!

Perhaps, you have never exposed your stuff on heat for long time as author does. Albeit, is important step to remove ketone leftovers.

This is for Racemic Methamphetamine HCl right? Not the Dextra isomer?

I congratulate you for this work. According to you or your friends who make racemic crystals, is there a difference between the melting and freezing stages in the pipe? The racemic freezing time I made is too long, I couldn't find the reason?

Took too long is vague but obviously it depends on wind blowing on the pipe, ambient air temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure and other factors. In the Analytical Chemistry sub of this site, is a scheme for performing a melt test. This is a meaningful test because it has metrics (meth melts at about 165-167°C.) if it is higher or lower by very much it points to an unfinished reaction or an extremely dirty product.
