Question; It is well established that a somewhat ancient apparatus called a refractometer can differentiate isomers of a compound (often in solution). How accurate do you believe such methods to be for illicitly synthesized samples, accounting for impurities such as cuts and synthesis byproducts ? Have you established a numerical value that correlates purity to isomer identification accuracy ?
Bonus question (I'm a selfish prick); I'd love to know a little more about your methodology for the quantitative analysis of enantiomers. Now that's fascinating !

Hello, regarding the refractrometer, since we do not work with it, we do not know how this equipment works.

Regarding the analytical method used for quantitative analysis of enantiomers, we use analytical standards S and R. First of all we use a screen method to identify and quantify the compounds in the sample, then we move to the enantiomers method (LC-MS with chiral column). Then, with a chiral column (chromatography) that is coated with a chiral compound, it interacts differently with the two enantiomers of these substances. This allows the enantiomers to separate as they pass through the column. The mass spectrometer can then be used to quantify the amount of each enantiomer present.

whats the difference between using chemsafe and energy control?

Energy Control is a harm reduction program aimed at the general population of drug users. Chem-Safe is a project of Energy Control that was established in 2017 to respond to the sexualized use of drugs. Today, we are particularly addressing anyone, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation, who uses psychoactive substances in sexual contexts, the diverse individuals who participate in Chemsex /Party and Play sessions, and the LGBTI+ community that uses substances. We also address the drug use of the LGBTI+ population in any context.
When sending the results through Chemsafe we also include information on how substances affect the sexual sphere.

how accurate are your machines and are they calibrated and if so how frequently?

We currently have these types of analytical methods:

• Thin-layer chromatography (TLC)
• Gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS)
• Liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC/MS)
• Ultraviolet spectrophotometry (UV-Vis)
• High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC-DAD)
• Liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC/MS) with chiral column

It is not necessary to calibrate the machines, but the analytical methods (substances). Every analytical method we are going to use we know if it is working properly because we use purchased substances as analytical standard and in addition we use control samples. These samples are used to check that all the methodology in that batch has gone well and the control value is as expected.

On the other hand, most of the equipment is previously checked to confirm that it is in good condition and this is done by means of software.

Why are Energy Control and Chem Safe so focused on the LGBT community?

Energy Control was founded in 1997 and has always been directed towards the general population, even to this day. In 2017, Chem-Safe was created to cater to this population, as well as the heterosexual population who use drugs in these contexts.

Over the years, we have noticed that the LGBTI + community is unaware that they can access substance analysis because we have not focused on it.

Every person has the right to analyze substances and receive key information about the substances they are taking. That is why we are adapting the service, but under the name Chem-Safe. However, it should be emphasized that it is not an exclusive service for this particular community.

This time one sample arrived in accordance with tracking on 11th. Still no result. Another sample arrived in accordance with tracking on 16th, but not yet in your system, hahaha.

You really need to something with it, guys.
