Could you help me with separating paracetamol from Pseudoefedrin

I have 30mg Pseudoefedrin with 500mg Paraccetamol, I tried today to separate this with ,,cold water extraction '' but failed, I think

-I put the grinded pills with some water , disolved them , put it in a freezer for 30 minutes ( the paracetaml should freeze) then filter it , the paracetamol should remain frozen in the filter .

someone told me I should do the separation with ,, Ethanol, methanol, isopropanol '' I did It a second time with isopropanol 99% instead of water

I also have a problem with making Hcl gas , because in my country I can't find a drain cleaner that has sulphuric acid in it . And I don;t have the knowlage of making myself from a car battery . I am learning every day chemistry
