1. Bavaria, Germany
Many foreign visitors are surprised that the Bavarian police perform drug checks at train stations and on motorway parking areas without probable cause, often ending in a humiliating body search.

body search includes you have to drop the pants, bend over and spread your cheeks. they look into your cavity.
i saw it with my own eyes and friends (f/m) reported it.
u could think that this is against human rights. very true as u lose all human rights when u are suspected of consuming drugs. there is nothing u can do, because it's supported by the majority.

2. Where else?

CalebSuch cavity searches happen in other places, too. This is nothing new.
Here is something: Customs seize 10g amphetamine ordered by a guy with no previous convictions. Police raids his home, which is pretty standard procedure. They don't find anything, only that he has Tor browser installed. For the jury this is hard evidence that he is a drug addict.
He is handcuffed and goes to jail for 2 and a half years:
I personally feel a little sorry for you,” said Judge Thomas Mayer, opening the verdict ... He was sentenced to more than two years in prison for buying drugs on the dark web ... Two judicial officers handcuff the 37-year-old and he is led away in black jogging pants and a blue windbreaker.
The judge seems to be a good guy, he feels sorry for the drug addict. He helps out the poor man with sentencing him into prison.

There are no countries where there is no police brutality. Even if the laws sound decent enough everywhere, the issues of enforcement vary from country to country. Even in the most liberal countries, there will be an asshole cop who will put himself above the accepted norms.

CalebBavaria is like Texas, just stay out of there if you do drugs or more so if you are doing drug business. In Berlin, Bremen and NRW small amounts of drugs are not interesting for the police as the state attorneys throw the cases out as they are overloaded and have a serious backlog of real crime to process. How this guy could cop more then two years is nevertheless beyond me, 10 g is for sure less then 10 g Amph base and thats an legally "small amount" and he should have gotten a fine or maybe 3 months on probation at most. I suppose this will be corrected on appeal, he must have had a real bad lawyer or he must have made the mistake to talk to the police. Never ever talk to the police! Get a specialized lawyer! In Germany you can ask the "Grüne Hilfe" for good lawyers, they know, they help.
Anybody got a link for the case?

OrgUnikumi read an article about it. precisely it was 10.6g of pure amphetamin base. they said as he ordered something about 30g amphetamine product. on course only the pure substance counts.
there u see how "pure" those are.

Anybody got a link for the case?

War schon 2019. Leider konnte ich nicht herausfinden was in der Berufung rauskam. Aber allein dass er in U-Haft genommen wurde ist schon ein Skandal.

OrgUnikumi guess he got probation in the "berufung", they must only reduce the sentence to 2 years and that is very likely.
the judge died not long ago. obviously his drug-free life didn't help.

they dont take kindly drug users in bavaria.
it's quite amazing how different parts of germany interpret the same law differently - how can that this be possible?

Hier some nice report of a recent incident, translated freshly:
Yes, I had the same impression of the Bavarian police: for a gram of cocaine, they turned my house with children upside down, arrested me, put me in a cell, took pictures, left me without food for twelve hours, and I couldn't call a lawyer because they didn't give me a phone, and all this without any precedent at the time. If they enjoy wasting resources like this instead of worrying about more serious things, because please... even if they're just doing their job in the end. In addition, possession in itself is punishable, even without consumption and trade, so possession is quite sufficient for them, unfortunately

This one is also nice:
And of course, they're always trying to pin a trade on you. I once had a buddy who went to juvenile detention for 4 g of weed. His mistake was that he had it in 4 1g baggies instead of all in one.
