Does using a larger amount of water so that the mixture does not turn into a paste affect the solubility of the L-Meth-tartrate salt?

Because it's almost impossible to work with the vacuum filter when it's like a paste.

Maybe I should add freebase slowly to avoid amorphous paste solid?

I would recommend the freezer. In this case, the colder the better. The temperatures were never measured, I always store my methanol in the freezer.

-The polarity (polarimeter tested) after one pass

- H20 (68-73% d)

- Methanol (71-76% d)

- Rusznak process, toluene as a benzene substitute (still failed racemic)

- Pope - Peachey : h20/hydrochloric acid
(65-80 % d is time-dependent)

I prefer the method with h20 because of cost, time and simplicity.

You can heat the mixture, obtain a solution (add a little solvent if slight heating doesn’t help), and then crystallize it more controllably with slow cooling to get a more easily filterable fraction.
