This is not something I am doing or will do, but am very curious.

If some onew wanted to film some legally questionable things, and post them on the internet, sort of like this place, but maybe post them on social media places too, would it be possible to remove all the data and identifying parts of the technological side of things so someone couldn't use that info to figure out who the person was?

In this case the technological side is almost trivial and most social platforms take care of them for you (the videos are transcoded, metadata is stripped etc). Just don't upload under your name, don't associate any real information with the account (including phone number and email for recovery) and manage the account and uploads over a trustworthy VPN.

Extreme attention must be paid to everything that appears in the video. Watch few videos by Rainbolt to get a better understanding of how just few visual clues can provide sufficient basis to a determined person to narrow down your location and identity. I probably don't need to mention no face and no finger prints may appear in the video. Voice could be used but masked by a voice filter. You must remove every kind of background, both indoor and outdoor. No personal items. Remove rings, watches, bracelets. Cover scars and birth marks (wear gloves etc). Wear a generic lab coat over any clothes. Do not use original packaging of reagents, transfer them to generic unmarked containers instead. Cover any labels, including logos on beakers. Don't mention weather, holidays, recent or upcoming purchases, deliveries or anything else that can be used for profiling. Blur/remove any reflections of your face.

Staying truly anonymous is harder than it seems, especially when your adversary has a lot of resources and motivation. You can be profiled across all your videos and inconsequential pieces of information put together may start painting the bigger picture. Read the stories of autists from 4chan calling an airstrike on ISIS or finding the position of a flag based on almost nothing. It's stuff beyond the imagination of most people.

There are apps for that, already on TAILS for removing exfil data
And for quick shit, take pics and under 1 min videos, send them to yourself on signal(note to self), then delete the photo from your phone, and trash, then download the pic from signal to your phone, and it now has no metadata
Boom
