Who also likes to cook something like this? I'm from the middle of Europe, in our country, just the time when you can "steal" poppies from then farmar fields, is there anyone who has the same thing? Is there anyone who grows his own?
And btw. i was picking up wild growing poppies in UK as well and brew PST after. Surprise in that time was potency of that tea, few times was strong enough to make me unable to smoke ciggies and itchy af.
interesting video I don't live in the Czech Republic but I live nearby I boil poppy with water then filter them thoroughly and evaporate the water, let them dry and they are the best caramels you've ever had and it's legal to grow poppy at home here, I just haven't been able to do it, luckily they grow a little bit of it every year, so I go out in the evening to collect them but I haven't met anyone there yet. I want to try drying some for the winter season.
Wait a couple of weeks after the flower pedals have fallen and the poppy pod's crown is up
Pulverize the whole plants into powder
Add little lemon juice citrus
Heat the poppies but avoid the temperature of boiling water
After filtering the plant material from the water+opiates+lemon , repeat
repeat heating the poppy plant material and lemon water for an hour and not too boiling and then filter
There’s something special about the smell of fresh poppies and summer air. I don’t grow my own, but I’ve definitely seen a few folks “liberating” some from nearby fields.
