Help with conversion of BMK powder 718-08-1 to P2P

Hello Breaking Bad family...

I have been searching but cannot find any information regarding conversion of BMK powder 718-08-1 to P2P.

Ethyl 3-Oxo-4-phenylbutanoate

Has anyone got further information or had success with conversion?

Hi. I haven't found clear data about this reaction but according first reaction with 74% yield, you can carry out simple acid hydrolysis.

G.Patton74% could be the highest yield from BMK powders to P2P nowdays. I will pay attention to this CAS. Thanks.

Upon further investigation, seems cas 718-08-1 is close derivative of MAPA called EGPA.

Should convert to P2P using the simple acid hydrolosis as posted by Mr Patton.

** interesting pick up about the ester exchange from ethyl to methyl using methanol and then that causing Phenylacetylcarbinol as a by product.
