Hello, I have recently observed throughout my study and research that the use of homemade equipment is almost entirely used in clandestine laboratories. And it is not for lack of resources, but to allow its use in a discreet way, without drawing attention to its obtainment, in some cases with close people/neighbour seeking discretion.

My main question would be the replacement of the glass where the reaction takes place, and the reflux. What options would we have to create equipment from domestic glass and supermarket jars?

For production of 100g for example using synthesis of methylamphetamine using the hypophosphorous route

The only thing you need is a hotplate, a pot in the appropriate size that your cooking flask fits without problems (which you best fill with oil to heat your flask), an appropriately sized glass flask to let the slurry react, a piece of hose (hose to connect a gas bottle to the grill or the like is good I think), a plug to close the cooking flask airtight (with a suitable hole in the size that the hose can be pressed in and without play).
in the size that the hose can be pressed in and without play) a large balloon (from thick robust rubber), and a few large sealable vessels (2 liter Coke bottles or similar) to wash the phases!
I would also recommend a roll of tape to secure the stopper with the tube on the flask against accidental opening or air leakage during the boiling process.
Last but not least, one (or a few) large glass bowls to evaporate the water in which the final product is dissolved as slowly as possible.

brianvene1There are other interesting substances that can be made simply in a beaker or plastic. For the method above, the boiling point and acid are not the most convenient for use without glass and capacitor, although it is possible. But the smell will be hard.
