How do I convert dimethyl formamide into formic acid?

I have dimethyl formamide and am unsure of how to convert it to formamide.

Only the metabolic pathway by human and animal liver enzymes, the other way is not known to me, if anyone knows, can share.

I am going to add 37% hydrochloric acid and distill off the aqueous formic acid contaminated with hydrochloric acid.

Don't bother trying to make Formic acid with DMF massive waste. Instead make it from Glycerine and Oxalic acid. Very easy to do. Might I ask how did you manage to get your hands on DMF?

Can you not purchase it from chemical supply companies, it is not illegal.
