Question Shake and bake meth?

Hey so i watched this shake and bake tutorial:

And i wanted to ask if there is a way to do this without ephedrine or pseudo? And at best without methylamine if there is anything like that?

Well you cut yourself out of pretty much the only other option, that I know of anyway, by refuting the methylamine.
Otherwise there is a one pot tek for 4mmc.

You might be able to do a "SnB" or some other one pot metal catalyst reduction or whatever on some other catecholamine , but you ain't gonna get anything that stands up to tina... maybe 4-MA? Don't quit your day job though, because you wont find any tutorials for those.
