testing purity of ephedrine and purifing

Hello can anybody tell me how can i test purity of ephedrine and how to clean it ? Classical acetone wash ? Or someother way?

Conversion from L-Pac after reaction I allowed the water to stand for 24hrs and it formed crystals solids, I filtered and dried but I observed that the crystal are not bitter as ephedrine

Try recrystallization in ethanol dissolve ephedrine in Ethanol and let it slowly evaporate

I supposedly have ephedrine but Czech cuisine or water iodine phosphorus with reflux can't cook strong material..it can't be isolpropylbenzene..how do we determine the substance
