I tried it but i was stupid and forgot the plastic was still on it.

I was doing 2 minute bursts at a time. On the 4th time the plastic started to melt. The smell is horrid. I caught it early so saved what i could.

Has anyone done it to completion? Even with 2 minute blasts the inside of the brick got really hot as opposed to the surface.

Ive found slowly drying to be better, but yellowing occurs when dried slowly (moisture retention i would assume)

If anyone dries with only microwave, how is the final product?

Use vacuum oven with 2-stage oil pump and heat slowly to 50 °C.
That temp. should be enough and prevents your product from overheating.
Or build it by yourself.

Ive used the vacuum iven but the product seems to have a better appearance when dried without using the vac oven, (more flaky)

Wht about with no heat at all? Just vacuum to make sure no water absorbtion, slow dry to promote better layering?

It's crazy, but cocaine is polar. Microwaves work only on polar molecules, usually water. It oscillates the molecules at whatever frequency your microwave is. So cocaine is in a big minority of dry powders that get hot in the microwave. A microwave made for chemistry is a little different from the one in your kitchen

The inside got way hotter than anticipated, do you have an issue of yellowing as well? Is there a way to stop that when drying with vacuum or dessicant? (Room with dehumidifiers)?
