Teacher, may I ask if after adding sodium hydroxide to the water and stirring until dissolved, it will no longer be transparent!

It literally says that you WAIT FOR THE EXOTHERMIC REACTION TO BE DONE which is clear liquid and cooled down

I used 57g menh2 hcl + 34g naoh in 46g water. My collecting flask contained 82g water. At the end I collected 126g methylamine solution. It means 44g added to final solution. Is it possible? 44g menh2 of 57g menh2 hcl?
Or water also was evaporating with menh2? Because boiling flask temperature slowly reached 85°c.

You can count and check it like this:
Molar amount of 57g MeNH*HCl = 57/67.518 = 0.844 moles.
How much grams of MeNH2 can it gives? 0.844 mol * 31.1 g/mol(molar mass of MeNH2)= 26.3 g

I assume that there is water as well.

Sir! I tested something. I poured 100ml tap water + 5g naoh in a flask and pour 120ml tap water in a 100ml graduated cylinder. I heated the flask .at around 96°C bubbles occurred. (IN MY AREA WATER BOILS AT 96°C.) So water won't bublle out bellow boiling point. At lesser water in graduated cylinder bubbles occur sooner. Because of lower height of the water in graduated cylinder, bubbles can come out easier. So how would water come out in present of menh2 at lower temperature? (I had 100ml water in graduated cylinder, and 57g menh2 in the flask)

Hello, I don't clearly understand your experiment. Just that you have less atmosphere pressure.
Can you explain more clearly please?

@G.Patton
If we pure MeNH2 Hcl + NaOh + ethanol in a flask and stirr it until complete NaCl participation then filter the NaCl.
Can we use the final solution in Al/Hg methamfetamine synthesis?
Final solution will contain "ethanol + methylamine free base + water + some dissolved NaCl in water".
We make 40% of this solution and use it in synthesis.
We already use ethanol and some NaCl in Al/Hg methamfetamine synthesis method.

You need to make the solution neutral. In this case, it should be ok.

UPD: I forgot that MeNH2 also base. I guess it would be ok.

In order to prepare a Methylamine freebase solution, you need to use the following general steps. Nevertheless, keep in mind that working with chemicals such as Methylamine should be carried out safely, and according to local legislation and laws. The following is a general guide of how to prepare the solution:

Materials Required:
Methylamine solution (generally, a commercial aqueous solution of Methylamine, usually 40-45% in water).
Anhydrous ether or other non-aqueous solvent (optional, depending on the form you wish the freebase to be in).
Base (e.g., sodium hydroxide (NaOH) or potassium hydroxide (KOH)) to increase the pH and convert Methylamine to its freebase state.
Distilled water.
Beakers, stir rods, pH meter or pH indicator paper.
Protective equipment (gloves, goggles, and lab coat).
Procedure to Prepare Methylamine Freebase Solution:
Prepare the Basic Aqueous Solution:

If you are beginning with a Methylamine hydrochloride solution (which is usually found commercially), you will want to increase the pH in order to turn it into the freebase.
First, put the Methylamine hydrochloride solution into a beaker.
Add Base to Increase pH:

Gradually pour sodium hydroxide (NaOH) or potassium hydroxide (KOH) solution into the Methylamine hydrochloride solution. This will increase the pH and liberate Methylamine as a freebase. You should end up with a pH of about 11-1

These AI posts are worthless. Methylamine aqueous 40 % is free base. Therefore, in order to prepare a methylamine freebase solution:

1. get Methylamine aqueous 40 %
2. you're done.

Even adding 700 grams of methanol to 526.1 grams of methanol cannot dissolve 385.9 grams of sodium hydroxide!
