Ma tegin enne 200L trumlidel, 100L trumlid on ka hea, ja tegin ühe poti reaktsiooni.

350-400 grammi elavhõbedat 10L b (400 grammi on tõesti palju agressiivne), 15L metüülamiini 40% ja siis nagu 30L metanooli.
Fooliumiga ma ei ole kindel, mul oli lõpuks tehtud nagu 2/3 ämbritäis kriimustatud/kahjustatud fooliumiga (pallid puuduvad), nii et see oli see kaal.

Lõpuks oli liiga palju fooliumi.
Saagis; 12L PH 12 juures.

When you say the Al amalgam can be made in situ does that mean one doesn’t have to wash & decant the HgCl from the aluminum before introducing the p2p + methylamine mixture? The HgCl can be left in the flask while reduction happens and will be extracted out later during product purification?

I'm currently experimenting with al/hg and wanted to scale the synthesis. I asked myself the question of whether it is absolutely necessary to use a capacitor? I suspect it is needed to keep the methylamine and solvent (methanol) in reaction vessel. But would it be possible to compensate for methylamine loss with a new methylamine-methanol solution?

Perhaps an excess of methylamine was used, not much, just to compensate
Add an amount of water
Keep the temperature no more than 60 degrees and you will be fine

I cannot say that the yields where lower with nitromethane, but do not underestimate the danger of nitromethane.
you need 600L nitromethane per L [MD]P2P.
