1. Az alumínium-amalgámot előzetesen elő kell készíteni, ez fontos lépés
2. Adja hozzá a p2p-t, metilamint az amalgámhoz izopropanollal együtt.
3. Tartsa a reakcióhőmérsékletet <30 fokon
4. 40g p2p-vel és 40g alumínium FOIL-lal 100%-os elszabadulást fogsz kapni .
5. Adjunk NaOH/KOH-t az Al/Hg iszap szűrése előtt, ez megkönnyíti a szűrési folyamatot és elpusztítja a maradék Al-t.

Korábban 200L-es hordókon csináltam, 100L-es hordók is megfelelnek, és egy edényes reakciót csináltam.

350-400 gramm higany 10L b-n (400 gramm tényleg sok agresszív), 15L metilamin 40%, majd kb. 30L metanol.
A fóliában bizonytalan vagyok, én a végén csináltam olyan 2/3 vödörnyi karcos/sérült fóliával (nem golyókkal), szóval ennyi volt a súlya.

Végül is túl sok volt a fólia.
A hozam; 12L PH 12-nél.

Akkor még a metilaminnal, mindenki tudja, hogy vannak jobb alternatívák, ha azzal dolgozunk, pl. Al/Hg-vel

When you say the Al amalgam can be made in situ does that mean one doesn’t have to wash & decant the HgCl from the aluminum before introducing the p2p + methylamine mixture? The HgCl can be left in the flask while reduction happens and will be extracted out later during product purification?

I'm currently experimenting with al/hg and wanted to scale the synthesis. I asked myself the question of whether it is absolutely necessary to use a capacitor? I suspect it is needed to keep the methylamine and solvent (methanol) in reaction vessel. But would it be possible to compensate for methylamine loss with a new methylamine-methanol solution?

Perhaps an excess of methylamine was used, not much, just to compensate
Add an amount of water
Keep the temperature no more than 60 degrees and you will be fine

I cannot say that the yields where lower with nitromethane, but do not underestimate the danger of nitromethane.
you need 600L nitromethane per L [MD]P2P.
