Es iepriekš darīju uz 200 litru mucām, arī 100 litru mucas ir piemērotas, un veicu viena katla reakciju.

350-400 g dzīvsudraba uz 10L b (400 g ir patiešām daudz agresīva), 15L metilamīna 40% un tad apmēram 30L metanola.
Par foliju neesmu pārliecināts, man beigās bija sanācis, ka 2/3 spaiņa pilns ar saskrāpētu/bojātu foliju (bez lodītēm), tāpēc tas bija tāds svars.

Galu galā folijas bija par daudz.
Iznākums: 12 l pie PH 12.

Atpakaļ ar metilamīnu, visi zina, ka tam ir labākas alternatīvas, strādājot, piemēram, ar Al/Hg.

When you say the Al amalgam can be made in situ does that mean one doesn’t have to wash & decant the HgCl from the aluminum before introducing the p2p + methylamine mixture? The HgCl can be left in the flask while reduction happens and will be extracted out later during product purification?

I'm currently experimenting with al/hg and wanted to scale the synthesis. I asked myself the question of whether it is absolutely necessary to use a capacitor? I suspect it is needed to keep the methylamine and solvent (methanol) in reaction vessel. But would it be possible to compensate for methylamine loss with a new methylamine-methanol solution?

I cannot say that the yields where lower with nitromethane, but do not underestimate the danger of nitromethane.
you need 600L nitromethane per L [MD]P2P.
