I would like to know what temperature the p2p flask is at during steam distillation. Do we need to heat the p2p or does the steam do the job?
thank you for your effort

Hello, heat up to boiling of the RM. The temperature is changing.

This was cool for you to cover because the yield and quality of of your synthesis is going to be much better with a refined propene for sure as I believe Gordonramsey has covered very extensive but thanks g. Patton you're wisdom being shared to people that wouldn't think to refine the p2p maybe after a few runs depending on if they're using intermideates etc etc, I really wanna do a bmk to p2p and use that to go with the aluminum amalgam but I suppose that would be because I have no source for propene at the moment and if one can use all intermideates to get to their desired precursor well I think that's the dream, self sustaining and what not

Is steam distillation of P2P really better than vacuum distillation, Or it gives the same results?

It is easier (need less electricity and time) and get higher yield.
What this man said is true steam distillation used to bother me with highly water soluble or water miscible things, everyone hates an emulsion but I have never agreed it's a simpler way to get a very respectable quality like you see in the video the end propene is absolutely visually stunning

The first flask, with water only, is heated, which generates steam. The steam travels over and then heats the flask with the water, bicarb, and dirty P2P. Once the contents of the second flask are sufficiently heated by this process, the water in the second flask will vaporize, carrying over small amounts of oil with it. As it travels along it's path , it all cools off, therefore condensing back into liquid where it is collected in the recovery flask (third flask). Water boils at 100C, forming vapor, so we know that the flask with the water, bicarb, and dirty P2P will be at 100C, or just over.

yes you can. I do it with my amphetamine freebase from "P2NP Al/Hg", you can do it directly after reaction is over, first add a little water and distil some water and ipa from the reaction flask .
Then fill in your NaOH and start steam destillation

Yes, it is possible
The amphetamine base was extracted with a non-polar solvent with a low evaporation temperature
Then get rid of the solvent first, then add alkaline water and start steaming
Or dissolve the amphetamine salt in alkaline water and pump the st
Can I distill amphetamine freebase the same way?

I make P2P with acetic anhydride, phenylacetic acid sodium acetate route which is mention in uncle fester book as a Russian recipe. Please experts can you help me making P2P and purifying P2P by this way.

Dear Mr.
If I use a 10L pressure cooker to generate steam. Use a 5L flask as a distillation bottle. How many liters of P2P can I steam distill at a time?
Approximately how long does the entire distillation process take?

No one is essential in life. But if there weren't people like G. PATTON in this forum, this wouldn't be the same. The knowledge of organic chemistry that this man possesses and shares is impressive. Thank you my general.
Amen. Prof G.Patton i pray the Lord grants you whatever you wish for in Life.
you are thee Man.
