1. Hliníkový amalgám sa musí pripraviť vopred, je to dôležitý krok
2. Pridajte svoj p2p, metylamín do amalgámu spolu s izopropanolom
3. Udržujte reakčnú teplotu <30 stupňov
4. So 40 g p2p a 40 g hliníkového FOILu získate 100 % útek .
5. Pred filtrovaním Al/Hg kalu pridajte NaOH/KOH, uľahčí to proces filtrovania a zničí zvyšný Al
6. A tak ďalej...

Predtým som robil na 200l sudoch, 100l sudy sú tiež v poriadku, a robil som reakciu v jednom hrnci.

350-400 gramov ortuti na 10L b (400 gramov je naozaj veľa agresívne), 15L metylamínu 40% a potom ako 30L metanolu.
Fóliou si nie som istý, mal som nakoniec urobené tak 2/3 plného vedra s poškriabanou/poškodenou fóliou (bez guličiek), takže to bola tá váha.

Nakoniec to bolo príliš veľa fólie.
Výťažok: 12 l pri PH 12.

Vtedy s metylamínom, každý vie, že sú na to lepšie alternatívy pri práci, napr. s Al/Hg

When you say the Al amalgam can be made in situ does that mean one doesn’t have to wash & decant the HgCl from the aluminum before introducing the p2p + methylamine mixture? The HgCl can be left in the flask while reduction happens and will be extracted out later during product purification?

I'm currently experimenting with al/hg and wanted to scale the synthesis. I asked myself the question of whether it is absolutely necessary to use a capacitor? I suspect it is needed to keep the methylamine and solvent (methanol) in reaction vessel. But would it be possible to compensate for methylamine loss with a new methylamine-methanol solution?

Perhaps an excess of methylamine was used, not much, just to compensate
Add an amount of water
Keep the temperature no more than 60 degrees and you will be fine

I cannot say that the yields where lower with nitromethane, but do not underestimate the danger of nitromethane.
you need 600L nitromethane per L [MD]P2P.
