Nabh4 is not available for personal purchase in my country, so I wonder if anyone has used STAB instead of Nabh4, as far as I know STAB is a mild reducing agent, but I don't know if it can reduce P2NP, and cyanoboron Sodium hydride is highly toxic and I'm not going to try this, if anyone has used STAB please tell me the answer, thanks

STAB can be used. It works just as well as NaBH4.

My STAB is coming in a week or so, if it's timely for you I can report back.

No go for nitro to amino, but I haven't tried in the presence of acetic acid which literature reports good yields for in this particular reaction.Pretty good for imine route however, very very mild.A lot more is needed however.

STAB is far more expensive as far as I know and NaBH4 is pretty good for your purpose

it is most useful in the reduction of imines and is the lesser toxic substitute for NaBH3CN when alkylating amines

Do you think I’m relating to you from a dream? I have tried and it did not work, probably with acetoc acid will work to some degree but not satisfactory.
Short answer: No.
