how the shit are you going to snort it if it is wet? and if you are going to turn it into paste with some form of alcohol, do it with ethanol.
If you have "white rims" around your nostrils, then
1. if it is dry, you just snort too much at once, hangs around in your cavities, does some nasty stuff there if it is too much to absorb, and runs back as snot out of your nose, or backdripping in your throat. snot is transparent, but was is left behind, is a nice white rim of amphetamine, giving you away what you did 30 mins before
. Instead of fucking up your product, try to reduce those thick-ass lines a bit.. especially if it just falls back out of your nostrils and showing itself as lovely white rims.

To turn your speed powder into a paste (freebase form), you can dissolve it in a minimal amount of water with a small amount of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), then gently heat the mixture until it forms a thick paste. This makes it less powdery and easier on the nose. Be careful with heating and use clean equipment. Alternatively, if you want crystals, recrystallization from a suitable solvent like isopropanol can help purify and form crystals, but paste is usually just a moist, softened form of the freebase. OR, you could acid/base it yourself. I believe they all act the same more or less for this situation anyway.
You can wash it with cold dry acetone, MEK or maybe cold dry diethyl ether or something. This will clean your crank.
You aren't going to get crystal amphetamine like you do with meth - it is always going to look like a powder, so a "crystallization" is pointless really, but might help to clean, for this you can use water or an alcohol. ethanol, methanol, IPA or whatever will dissolve the amph - then filter out any solids.
You can most certainly snort a drop or two of water if you needed to. This is very practical actually. People sniff the suboxone strips by cutting them up into little pieces - a 1/16th put it in a spoon with two drops of water to get it to dissolve and pour/sniff it in their nostril. This is how everyone gets high in prison.
