Potential with phenylephrine to methamphetamine?

Could this be used in place of ephedrine since the latter is no longer OTC (and if it is, obtaining requires a license, unless you make it).
Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant with the chemical formula C9H13NO2. It's formula looks like this:

Is there any potential for this, or is it too inefficient to be used in place of ephedrine?

You should elaborate on the possibility if you know of a way. Whether or not it would be impractical is irrelevant. A process featuring phenylephrine as a precursor to amphetamines is highly desired knowledge and seemingly deemed to not be possible. For the knowledge, and perhaps a moonshot opportunity to throw the pigs' garbage back in their faces, any information you have would be much appreciated.

Well, the thing is, pseudoephedrine hcl used to come in 60 mg generic pills. Pheylephrine comes in 10mg pills, so it takes 100 to hve a gram of the stuff.

Here's the idea. Looks like there are a few ways to go about it. Possibly 1 could be zinc powder or 0.7-1.0% ,ol wt. sulphuric acid. You are dehydroxylating the 5 position on the phenol ring of a phenyethlamine. Next you are going to want to dehydroxylate rhe 2 position of the propyl moiety. The terminal end of the propyl alread has a methyl,, 3hydrogens, so a primary amine.Then you just have to methylate the alpha position of the ethyl functional group. Depending what you use yhere is gonna determin wether you have D,L-meth, L-meth or D-meth. I suggest D. It doesn't HAVE to go in that order It just all needs done. I typed out what each thing was so you could UTFSE or look on google or something to make a specific plan as far as reactants and solvents ;0

In my recent hunts for E or PSE locally, all I have come across are these 10mg Phenylephrine pills usually containing acetaminophen + other 'crap' The practicality is irrellevent to me also, If it is possible and the means can be sourced from store shelves, I am quite interested. The soldier behind enemy lines cant just order the precursors, so this knowledge is vital. I might take this on as a homework assignment and try to UTFSE to make that plan, I will need some help, of course, if anyone wants to DM and compare notes. I suppose I will have to order some ma huang to serve my research ends, in the mean time. Thank you.
